This map do make some kind of sense....Everyone knows Bari is a Deserted region, and the only place where people settle in Bari is Bosaaso, the rest are all empty, while the south and Somaliland is much more populated....

This map is accurate. I always believed that Gaalkacyo has a population less than 100.000, but I never dared to say it. My father, uncles and cousins will disown me if I say it out loud.

But I've been there, no way in hell can it have more than 100.000 people. Gaalkacyo belongs to top 10, but we Somalis are always exaggerating our numbers man. Are we that insecure motherfockers?

1 million Puntlanders, excluding Sool, Sanaag and Cayn. That would be my estimate too. Puntland has areas with no people, completely wild terrain with only wild animals. If you end up there, bisinka qabso. No nomad is around to come rescue you.
