Naima I understand where you are coming from wallahi. My immediate family has never lived in Gedo either. We were always moving around from Kenya to Somalia.........it explains why the region has not developed. Its owners have abandoned it.
oh man, it almost beats the time shankaroon asked if gedo was another name for caabudwaaq.
Or when she thought that Raadamiir and Diini were the same person. Laughing Laughing

3 in Xamar, 2 in Kismaayo. The one in Beled-Xaawo is settled by extended family, while the Xamar ones are occupied, and Kismaayo is unoccupied.

Hospital, doctors, college and school Confused Confused

Naima, are you ina tarey? Anyway there are several organisations that exist already but they do not get the support they need from the sade community abroad. Hirda and Iqra are the most active ones of these organizations.

UD, Mareexaan has alot of business men that want to invest in our regions but the problem is the damn insecurity and instability that rages there. Organisations require peace and stability before they can step foot inside these regions and help out.

Now alxamdullilah the Gedo region is in progress of setting up the required necessities (i.e. police force and such) to secure the area. Once that is in place, they will be flocking there like sheep.

We came close before the ICU jeopardised Barre's plan to setup Jubbaland with its regional police and military force but insha'Allah in the future we will set it up fully.

Anyways, we have houses in CaabudWaaq, Kismaayo, Xamar and Burco (already got the ground, construction starting soon).

Because Nimco Hassan Tarey writes articles on the net and she is from the same country as you.....and your name is Naima = Nacima = Nimco. Laughing

Warsame, I know what you mean. The instability is being caused by outsiders too.....
