the ssdf was destroyed by abdullahi yusuf's dictatorial style and the cafis programme of siad barre.

SSDF set a record of being the ONLY Somali Rebel Group to have surrendered to Siyaad.

Even the Eelay Somali Democratic Movement (SDM) refused to surrender and fought bravely with bows and arrows against Siyaad.

We never surrendered, these men were snitched on and caught. Some of them took bribe money, doesn't mean all of them did. Most of them ran away, don't think just because a few were bought by Afweyne that all of them were.

I am more interested in finding out about how much SNM actually stole of Ethiopias military armoury and equipment during the fall of Derg regime Ethiopia.
I heard SNM not only was supported during his regime " but also took alot when equipment when the regime fell and TPLF came in power.

SSDF lost alot of power when A/Y was imprisoned during the inter SSDF war .
And later SNM became the leading movement by default so Ethiopia did not see any need in SSDF and their failed operations.
SSDF majertenia later surrendered and took money and positions of Siyaad .

What I will never forget how the Sacad showed the Cumar maxmuud so much mercy and welcomed them into Sacad lands to avoid prosecution in 1981.

In 1981, Siyaad sent an emissary to the Sacad asking them to help murder, loot and rape Majeerten esp. Cumar Maxmuud but an old Cappo Qabiil told the emissary,

"I always thought Siyaad was a smart man but no longer believe that. How can he send a fool like you to tell us to rape, murder and loot our habaryars, abti, and in-laws ?"

In 1989, it was primarly Cumar Maxmuud who took vast amounts of money and arms to massacre the same Sacad civilian hosts for no reason.

CY's history is a bloody one. He was behind the murders of many prominent Majeerten whom he suspected as being his competition or traitors. The depths to which CY will stoop for to get power is unknown and he shows no mercy at all to inadeer or shiisheye.

A Cumar maxmuud relative told me that CY was a plague on them. He was worried about what the future would look like beyond CY.

indeed abdullahi yusuf is not known for showing mercy, at the contrary. over the decades people around him were shocked to see him order the executions of so many men that he used to be close with. many have drawn their conclusions and ran away from him, ending up in the bossom of the kacaan in xamar.

the cafis programme was so effective that siad barre eliminated the majeerteen threat. he had successfully put the majeerteen into submission. ever since then around 81-82, the spotlight was on the isaaq. siad barre wuuba ka hari la' from the isaaq, the ogaadeen played a major role in the oppression of the isaaq and were indifferent on the majeerteen or any other's plight. the dhulbahante were quite opposed to siad barre's ill treatment of the rebel clans. the dhulos should be saluted for that.

The so-called Majeerteen massacre was one of the tales fabricated by radio Kulmis (MJ Propaganda machine)

It was a tactic used to light an uprising and hence why the Western Human Rights ignored this fabrication.

Logically thinking would even disprove this allegation. The SSDF was properly formed in 1981 and started invading Somali regions in 1982. Why would M S Barre (RH) who at that period was modernizing the nation attack certain clans in 1979, two years after the Ethiopian invasion? Why would he issue an order like that since the SSDF wasn't even a threat nor was it particullary formed.

It was simply a pretext used to support their clannish coup because no one would support them if they revealed their true intentions hence the "massacre fabrication".

Moving on,

the SSDF was begging Mengistu to invade Somalia so that they can take power.
