The highest Point in Somalia
Mount Shimbiris is the highest peak in all of Somalia, at 2450 m. It is located in the Surud Mountain Range in northern Somalia. SRTM data shows that its often quoted elevation of 2,416 m is slightly too low.

Liiqaaye, it was my late cousin's and I am not sure.

But I will pay a visit and check on the property since I am the closest male relative of his.

Hobyo is not a desert saxiib. It is green and there is plenty of water there:

Liqaaye,

Remember the soda factory in Burco ?

Who brought that bubbly drinks to rer Burco ?

Btw, Hobyo is on the coast and there has been sand dunes creeping on the city. But once u leave the seashore, it becomes green.

I saw a tape of my adeer who visited there last summer and the place was green with many antelopes, ostriches, and birds
