[But it can afford to cripple it. Fock with us and no more oil, should be the motto.]

No more oil from Saudi Arabia means at least $6 per gallon.

Arabman,

Don't fool yourself. The US isn't even on a war footing yet. No draft and they are still talking about reducing taxes to keep the economy booming.

The corporations remain in control and, as long as their profits remain at high levels, you will see few changes. If and when their profits seem threatened, or the domestic fear level raises to any actual concern, you will see an America that will startle you.

WWII and Lend-Lease were both financed creatively, in ways folks unable to use interest payments and other Western banking tools will never understand. The perceived threat just has to get a little bigger.

They get rid of the unnecessary SUVs and demand for oil tanks. Back to 1.30 a gallon. even without Saudi oil.

But in a short time the Saudis will realize the error of their ways and that it is better to coexist peacefully with the americans than to drive planes into Tall buildings.

Much easier and more comfortable than baking in the sand without a/c and cars fruits etc Laughing Laughing Laughing

Americans are weak. They are not serious about this terrorism war. You have Jendayi Frazier capturing the Terrorist Sheekh Shariif and she wants to make him the Somali president. She gives him a phone and a big hotel suite in the Hilton Nairobi. He asks for a phone and calls Al Jaziira and declared every muslim should hunt the infidels in somalia?

Is she chastened? No. She gives him a plane ticket and sends him on his way. Now he is in Asmara organizing terrorism.

Americans are weak. No wonder the Saudis are laughing at them. The Afghans and Iraqis blowing them up.

And you give us this boastful crap about new deal and lend-lease. It is enough to make a cat laugh.

If the saudis are against them, and issues a Fatwa

then there is a good chance that those "Liberal"muslims are onto a good thing
and are probably good muslims.

Saudia has no legitimacy except for ignorant, somali followers

I'm not into the whole labeling thing.
make shahada, do the waajib, follow Quran/Sunna, ask Allah for guidance.............repent when you sin.

You're not going to be asked about America or 'liberalism' in the grave.

Cilmiile,

I must agree. America is not yet serious.

But please note:

I didn't say a word about the New Deal and I don't really see how that relates to this. It was WWII that finally brought the US out of the Great Depression. I talked about creative financing of WWII and Lend-Lease. I also said something about NOT being on a war footing and the perception of fear at home. That is not boasting. That is a statement of latent potential. A good comparison would be late 1940 through 1941. America appears week only because it has not yet been sufficiently aroused, and it has thus far had some seriously misleading leadership.

What I am suggesting is that radical Islam should not underestimate the US as Arabman appears to be doing. We are both a bumbling superpower and an untapped sleeping Giant. Should the latter awaken, the object of it's focus should tremble.....

Going back to 1940-41. The German Bund still enjoyed much support in the US, and the Italian-Turkish-Japanese-German axis was not seen as particularly threatening. Then the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, a threat was perceived, the Japanese and some Germans were interned, and millions of young men joined the American military voluntarily over the course of a few weeks, changing the course of the war.

Those who say Muslims in the West are subversive and a military as well as cultural danger are gaining a hearing. Should the perception of a threat become general, there will be changes made. That is not a boast, just my perception of reality.

Grant you take the rehtoric too seriously.
I understand you live in america and your "free"press does a good job of scaring the shits out of people.
i was there briefly for 3 weeks and your News channels scared me half to death.

the reality is that you all live in fear and your view to the rest of the world is purposly clouded by the media, so that
consent is manufactured in your crumbling democracy.

Islam or even any group of so called terrorists do not post even a minute danger to the US or its Allies.
The fear you are feeling is to allow those in control to get a free hand in overseas adventures while, attempting to weaken your contituional rights.

Grant another new Deal is not likely,
the proponents of "free trade"have achieved a stranglehold on all the western economies.

another crash is definatley comming , even bigger than the 29 one.

and there will not be another Franklin Delano Roosvelt.

Islam is not the enemy my friend,

the enemy is internal and they have already won.

Dubai is now depandant on the Giant Casino that is the worlds financial markets,
it produces only 200,000 barrels of oil per day, equal to Tunisia, and all the mega projects going on are 90% funded by investors.

and tourism which makes up 50% of Dubai's income will be gone.

Abudhabi and the rest of the emirates will only suffer a small downturn, and property markets will crash.

other than that its good to go.

LoL@ Pearl Harbour

In hindsight, was the actual threat of Japan comparable to the perceived threat that influenced America to launch nuclear devastation ? And again in hindsight, was Fat Man and Littleboy overkill ? Also, do you perceive the Islamic threat in equal, greater or less terms than WW II Japan?
