Luq: Majerteen never partook in battles, it was between JVA, OG's, Dhullos against Morgan until 2006 when it became Harti vs. Marexaan. I don't know what happened during Marexaan rule, though no one had complaints during that era.

Paid, I never thought it was personal between MR/MJ. Theres just a little conflict of interest (i.e Kismayo). Lakin I think the biggest mistake Reer Wamo Harti could make is, getting involved in this. Right now its Puntland Vs Sade. The civilians should stay out of it, so if Puntland gets defeated, there won't be any backlash on them and they could continue to live in peace. Heck I even heard Bantu are still in the region in sizable nubmers and they even have jobs and farms and stuff. Also today a Marehan got put to sleep by the Marehan leadership for killing a Hawiye , overall I think Marehan deserve credit for not being savages.

No one said Marexaan were savages, the only Darood savages are Ogaden, and everyone knows that part. If the TFG fails in Xamar, the 4,000 Puntland soldiers in that city, plus the 6,000 off-duty guys just signed to the TFG, will be marching to Jubbaland---- ---with no obligations left and money needed to finance Puntland projects in the North and no competition left, its off to Jubbaland---

The best bet for Marexaan is to hope that the TFG is successful, because A/Yusuf will have to incorporate them into the government, if not, we go back to Qabiil Wars, only this time, Majerteen have billions of US dollars at their disposal, and well-trained surplus troops.

The coming months will be furry furry interesting.

Paidmonk, I give you credit being the only MJ on this site that AT LEAST acknowledges the probablility of the TFG failing. Lakin theres one reason why I don't see how MJ can take Kismayo for one simple reason. The only Marehan that were fighting these battles are the few that were part of the "TFG Army" that Col Fartag had with him. However Gedo is right next door and one callup, and 10,000 Marehan can be assembled in hours. . Its just too easy. Lakin with you guys, you have to come from so far, and if the TFG fails you'll have your own issues to deal with. Marka again, reer Wamo Harti should play nice, stay in their farms and stay neutral.
