Costa: I wrote my rebuttal here, a full page almost, I'm deleting it for privacy, send a PM if you want to read the NAMES and history behind them.

The first Reer Jamaame to own a home in Xamar though was Ciise Maxamud, in Waberi neighborhood; my grandfather.

However, I found this slightly old article about mamulka/ciidamoo Jamaame and Kismayo. And guess what, no Carab Salax picked up his guns to defend the town.

Mehri are merchants and farmers, not power dealers. Don't let one representative in 1960 give you a false belief.

Read the article, man, there's some big Ciise Maxamud names in it that I am related to, and no mention of Mehris.
