However your dead wrong in most of your assumptions. First Gedo was the most neglected region by MSB. In addition to that they didn't get much development by forgein colonialists since our lands were pure hell for them. This contrasted with the investment MSB put into Bossaso's port (which is really your only signifigant revenue generator), and your chummy relations with the colonialists who set up shop in Bari, and built towns and infrastructure as if they were never going to leave.
First of all do you know who built Bosaso? Do you know all of our universities, schools, comunity centers were mainly built by the people overseas. If we didn't have Bosaso port we would use Berbera port for importing and exporting and PL would surely boom. The PL government play their part in constructing the country but not nearly as much as the Majeerteen populous.

Zack, if I get some time this week, I'll do a little bit of formal research on exactly how much development was put into Bari as opposed to Gedo by MSB, and also acknowledge factors such as Bari not experiencing the civil war at all, to nobody contesting their areas, to not having a border with Ethiopia etc. to dismiss your theory that:

A)Puntland never had any sort of formal Governmental assistance (Siyad Barres Gov't)
B)Puntland is a little 'Kuwait' that was built by Majerten wondermen.

I'll let you know when I come up with my findings. up
