somalia needs a new flag

For one thing I agree with the topic but for other reasons. The Blue flag had its time. It symbolizes 47 years of failures culminating in Ethiopian tanks with the same blue flag hanging on the top marching into the capital of Somalia.

What other value does this Blue flag has when Tigre troops have it on their tanks, when warlords wave with the flag whenever they enter a city, when traitors wave with this flag?

Somali people clearly cannot identify themselves again with this defiled flag.


The new Somali Republic must have a new flag which symbolizes a new start, a fresh start. Ofcourse the total area remains the same: 637,661 km².

As far as I am aware, Djiboutie, NFD and Somali Galbeed were never part of the Somali Republic.

But as far Northwest is concerned, they were part of it and will stay this way.
