It might be a good idea to start reading what you post.

The Christian Far Right, the "Moral Majority" is nowhere near a majority in the US, and have become something of a joke. Besides which, the Constitutional guarantees of freedom of religion trump the expressed views of any one group. Furthermore, your link is anything but a pro-religious-right website. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equity and reciprosity are, admittedly, Western concepts. My point about Saudi Arabia was that some areas of the world have no compunction about restricting religion, so that Wilder's suggestion is not all that farfetched.

The Dutch are kind of strange. They have been known for their religious tolerance since before the Pilgrims stayed there on their way to America, but they do get upset when physical atacks and murder become an adjunct to religion.

The Dutch have a different view of the Theo Van Gogh/Ayaan Hirsi affair than that of many Somalis who have posted on this board. At this point Wilder only has nine out of 150 votes in the parliament, but how is the attack on Jami going to play out in the next election?
