My 2 cents --- It’s trouble-free 4 certain ppl 2 exhibit disapproval, and stand against “Tribalism”. Unfortunately, its impossible 2 attain UNITY with all these tribal divisions perpetuated by the colonial powers. The whole system of national politics is defined on the basis of clan identity. Therefore we are not left with a lot of options. Modifying the mentality of million Somalis who believes tribalism is cohesive force providing sense of identity, physical security, social insurance and application 2 customary laws 2 solve disputes ---“Is not as simple as u deem”. Matter of fact, the attempt of changing their thoughts and standard of living, might cause more problems than the current troubles. Ostensibly, it’s almost impracticable 2 extract Clan-division out of Somalia’s political system. Thus, we should learn how 2 make it work positively. Somalis understood the equation backwards and shunned the only means 2 hammer out such understanding.
