that was a beautiful video bro Cool Cool Cool i loved this other video too "" Wedi Tkabo (Part 1/2) - Eritrea 5/24/2007 Independence"" i almost cryed listening to it Smile Smile it was moving patriotic song even thou i didn't understand it Laughing
Eritreans feel the same way. He is talking about "Y'geremana'lo" which means "it makes us wonder." It makes us wonder how the world can just watch whats going. All the wrongs be committed against us. Wedi Tikabo is a poet.

The stuff that that really gets me teary eyed are the old revolutionary video from the struggle:
1) http://youtube.com/watch?v=LfNVT3vxi64 - Menisay means "youth." In this song he's telling the youth to continue on and return our land.

2)http://youtube.com/watch?v=T4ax_kz1Nkw - In tigre, so i dont understand some of it either but it really arouses a sense of patriotism but also a sense of sadness for all our fallen heroes ("jiganu").

I remember watching these videos a long time ago during our struggle. Really arouses a longing for freedom.
eri-prince

bro our situation is different than urs ..eri ppl were united to fight against their enemy but we somalis we r not ..some of our somali brothers are supporting the ethiopian accupation
It wasn't always like that in Eritrea. It took time for the Eritreans to be united...remember it was a 30 year struggle. There were unionist who had to be removed from the picture. You must first remove elements that act against the people. This is not easy to do when you:
a) are under sudden occupation (Ethiopia, AU, soon to be the UN)
b) dont have a political authority working actively to get past clan politics
c) the traitor government (TFG) still in place

Believe me, with one religion and one ethnic group the potential of somalia is endless. All you guys need to do right now is remove anti-unity elements, talk it out and find a government that serve the will of the people. these things take time...
