I don't think the current circumstances allow for tourists. Mogadishu is last on my list, tied with Kabul, Baghdad, and Tijuana.
I was thinking something closer to my home.

A small town in Somalia is the last spot on my list. In Somalia, I would be most interested in the larger cities. Especially Hargeisa, Boosaaso, Berbera, and the livestock market in Galkaayu. I would love to visit Kismayu and the surrounding Bajuuni islands once peace is established in the South.

U would be suprised in what you find in rural Somalia. Life is simple and mighty fulfiling. Makes you want to marry under a tree and settle down in a mud house.

Yaa Salaam.

In that case, then I will settle, Ismahan. I just hope that Galinsoor is a serene sort of small town, not an impoverished and abandoned ghost town, because I have seen those. Insha Allah, it will meet my standards.
Fah123, the one thing that attracts me to Mombasa is the Islamic presence in the city, and the nearby port, also the fact that the areas surrounding Mombasa are literally islands within Kenya itself. Very beautiful and interesting landscape.

Cali is always nice. Even though You said it is not on your list South America is the only place I can think of that is warm, has nice beaches, and is cheap.

I wonder why the middle east has yet not been mentioned. Turkey would be beautiful this time of year, counting on a warm winter season.
