Kismaayo needs to settle down. It sure needs a power sharing system between the two rival Darod clans. Otherwise, it will always remain a fracture point, thus deteriorating the city's underdevelopment. It will take many years for it to recover from its own unique crisis.

Xidigta, since you often write childish comments , let me emphasize, Erigavo is not and will never be an Isaaq territory. In fact, the city is linked to Bosaso's port economically and politically. Whatever ties given to Somaliland by its Isaq residents is just symbolic and has no weight at all in the daily affairs of the city. I am just trying to be rational with you. For instance, The ILATANGO company, CALMADOW and DAALLO companies are all basically owned by Warsangeli. Another advantage the Warsangeli has over Habarjeclo, HY and Dhullos in the city is that they settle at the heart of city thus adjoining the airport and the big market.

Should war occur, we all know who loses the most, thus I urge you to stay wise and realistic.

Kismaayo needs a reality check, since all the Major Darood subclans live there, i.e. Tanade, Sade, Kablalax & Awrtable.

They need to keep it very simple, just give each one Major Darod subclan ONE Share,
and that way everyone will be happy, and the city will see it prosper and grow, since no one will be trying to kill each other to steal power from one another.

Very simple. If that is not the case, then the city will never see peace, will never grow, and everyone will have hate in their hearts for each other.

it does not take a f'ucking genius to figure that out,
but whoever is trying to get more share's and try to eat more then the rest will probably be the one who loose's big

Camelherder, it is better to speak out and express grievances of injustice and denial of representation of all the clans in Kismayo. Open grievances is healthy for our later reconciliation among ourselves and non-Darod clans. You right Kablalax and Sade are the ones always underlined in this conflict but Tanade and Awrtable of Darod must be added into the equation and Non-Darod clans as well. No clan should be lured to surrender its stake in the city.

Without turning this into a qabil bashing scenario; Majerten and sharing do not go together. Marehan sacrafice fighting off SPM/USC holligans and the lives they lost for that cannot be ignored. Kismayo was peaceful and settled in peace on two occassions: '93-'99 and '2006. However both times Darood harmony was sabatoged by two Majerten hoodlums: Morgan and Afgudud. Both these guys sabatoged the harmony of Darood living in Kismayo and they were both expelled. Marehan are not known for being greedy however Majerten sometimes force you to be an azz along with them sometimes. Warsengeli after years finally realized this and broke off from Puntland and made their own State.

I mean, Kismaayo was won over the blood of young Leelkase, Marehan, Harti & Awrtable boys [ i did not include ogaden, because walaahi i'm not sure what they contributed] who fought to the end in protecting the Darood civilians living there and who fled Muqadishu.

I was there walaahi when my Uncles went to the battlefield and towards Baraawe to stop the Hutu advance.

So it was uncalled for and foolish to try to act selfish at a time of extreme hostilities towards us all around, i mean, my family stayed in Kismaayo walaahi until the Hutus finally arrived,and we went through Gedo, and into Somali Galbeed to escape to Gaalkayco.

The Retaking of Kismaayo was a collaboration of all the Daroods, and we did it.

@ Somali2003, Leelkase are a major part of Kismaayo city and even more During the Barre Hiraale Era.

As for the future of the city, i see sunshine, future looks bright!

Camelherder, no question Kismayo was the capitol of Darood during those days, and many people fought for it. Kismayo is a Darood city no question about it. Lakin you know Majerten, they will always want to be the big dog in everything, which makes sharing anyting with them impossible. Anyway all this is mute. Kismayo is being cleaned up right now from hoodlums, and agreeements have been made with all the clans in the area. There is going to be a meeting October 27 between all the Darood subclans so hopefully something will be ironed out. Also Kismayo was very peaceful under Barre Hiiraale. Mooryans were kicked out, and people were disarmed. Also the Harti, and everybody else in the city were living in peace. Inshallah Lelkasse are most welcome in Kismayo. Anyways dude how's Goldodob?

How do you see the prospect as sunshine. Explain a bit more. Currently, Yusuf considers Kismayo a lawless city at the hands of tribal militia. How will this political impasse be resolved in the future? Will Marehan lose the bigger stake in the futre if MJs together with the support of Harti manage to win coalition forces that includes Ethiopia, retaking the city over. Remember, members killed in Kismayo, two of them were DHULLOS.

I was in the city back in 1992 and even faught there. I can tell you one by one all the colonels and crews I used to hang out with. I remember GasDhagol and the coining of Derbi Darod by Warsangeli.
