Naaima,
That stinks! The only way to succeed in the West is through education, hopefully the situation will improve. Good luck with your studies!

I’ve always wanted to master the skills of sewing and knitting. I’m horrible at it. The last time I used a sewing machine I nearly lost a finger (I’m not kidding about that). Whenever I try to knit I end up with a huge knot of yarn instead of a pretty blanket or table cloth.

Musika,

Starscream,
Farming in this country is a breeze, you'll practically have the USDA giving you subsidies to grow things like tomatoes & corn, most farmers probably do it not for the love of it, but because of what they get back.
In Somalia, farming was a very personal affair, my father owned a farm in Jamaame growing bananas, mangoes, tangerines and veggies like green peppers, tomatoes, chillies, parsley, etc. It was a wonderful experience everytime we went to the farm, the beautiful landscape, the serenity of seeing fresh foods coming to life, awesome memories. Nice ambition!
