Taadow this is really naive thinking, do you want to know why South Africa's transition to democracy was so successful from centuries of minority white oppression to all of a sudden even the whites accepting democratic majority rule? The secret ingrediant of the South African success was that they did NOT speak about the past, nor did they criminate anyone because truth be told the only benefit it had would be symbolic and it's negatives would outweigh the positions, basically it was counter-productive.

to answer your question. somali nomadic culture clashed with urban somali life and destroyed somalia. what is somali nomadic culture?-say 40 years ago only 15% of lamagodley somalis lived in urban centers in somalia and the rest lived in a tribal nomadic culture. for them, no laws only the tribe rules. 25 years ago most of them came to the urban centres due to big droughts, with no urban skills and knowledge, most of them became dependent on their tribal kins in the cities. somalia a poor country coldn't afford to absorb millions of lamagodley parasite nomads, fight over limited state funds began and is still going on. the day someone teaches these lamagodleys how to fish then expect to be given 2 them a fish a day to live on, is the million dollar question to see a free somalia. that is the day we move forward. blame the tribal culture. lamagodley somali culture.

yea in theory that idea will work but am just being realistic and i think your being naive when you suggest that ppl are just gonna forget stuff. just look around today and you will see kids prasing their clans and putting others down, sole reason being is because they have been taught that there clan is the best and nothing else competes, and this cycle is going to continue.
we need to teach ppl to think as an individual and not to be ignorant.
