Categorizing Somali Marriages!

1.The marriage of convenience, usually some 19year old woman marries a 68year old for the sake of passport or exit visa or money but increasingly and more alarmingly young guys are marrying old single mothers for the same reasons.

2. The genuine love marriage I have seen somali couples who have had simple not lavish aroos and genuinley love eachother. They have intimacy and their marriage is not based on some romantic hollywood fantasy this is the kind of marriage that can survive unemployment and lifes up and downs better because both parties are not just out for what they can get.

Yh, there are always exceptions to the 3 categories I mentioned, I was just talking about what I have noticed. Personally, marriage is more hyped up than anything else in life, at the end of the day, its about growing old & bickering with someone else.
