Poor poeople, why his s so normal to you? Just because it's happening doesn't make it normal.
Of course its tragic and bothersome, but that's what is happening there now, and those who are doing the killing think their God want this way.

I will do my part in helping this Somali woman. I will contact a family friend who works for one of the NGOs in Muqdisho currently in Kuliyadii Beeraha. Sonkoreey can live in normal life if she gets the treatment she needs. This condition is very common in developing countries. If you can't help, pray for her. She is one of thousands of Afbiijo victims.
Here is more info on this:
Treatment
-----------------
Treatment is available and is available through reconstructive surgery. This surgery for uncomplicated cases has a 90% success rate and success rates for more complicated cases are estimated to be 60% successful. Cost for this procedure, which includes the actual surgery/post operative care and rehabilitation support is estimated to be around $300 US dollars. Successful surgery enables women to live normal lives and have more children but it is recommended to have a cesarean section to prevent the fistula from reoccuring. Post operative care is vitaly important to prevent infection.
Some women are not candidates for this surgery but can seek out alternative treatment called a urostomy and a bag for the collection of urine is worn on a daily basis.
Challenges with regards to treatment include the very high number of women needing reconstructive surgery, access to facilities and trained surgeons, and the cost of treatment. For many women, $300 US dollars is simply an impossible price and they cannot afford the surgery.
The largest challenge that stands between women and fistula treatment is information. Most women have no idea that treatment is available. Because this is a condition of shame and embarassment, most women hide themselves and their condition and suffer in silence with no relief.
The largest benefit of surgical treatment is that many women can re-join their families, communities, and societies without shame from their condition because the leaking and smell are no longer present"

Am sure there are Somalis in that hell hole we call a country in worse situation.

Who do I blame for their suffering well (1) Afweyne for his divide and rule tactics and (2) the visionless Mooryaan and (3) the BBC bias news reporting!

Well if u care so much for the lady why dont u send her some money and advice her to go to ethiopia where they specialiize in this fistula surgery. Oprah brought this subject in her show--and actually she donated money to help build an already existing clinic specialiazing in that operation. There is a nice aging british old woman who is the head of the clinic -she came to oprah actually-go to u You tube and search for fistula ethiopia oprah and u will find the clip.

Anyway me just coming to deliver my help of advice while i am vacationing in uk lol Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

PS: Most of the uks in the train smell of pee- uuuff u think they suffer from fistula? Laughing Laughing Laughing

Then you should not allow the old Somali man to steal the name of ''Somali man''

If the old Somali man monopolizes the representation of how a typical ''Somali man'' looks like and behaves...then you my friend are not a Somali man anymore.

Thats why I said...these cowards do not represent us (new breed Somali men)....and do not deserve the name of ''Somali man'' because, Somali men have been known throughout history as caring nomads, defending their family, their honour, characterized by bravery, independence, freedom-loving and fierce.

The new Somali man should restore these lost characteristics.

Ismahan123,well done for bringing out that topic and god bless you for your caring, that women is in my thoughts since I read the story yesterday and she realy needs help, they said she smells, but surely there is a reason for the smell and it's lack of medical care and it must be caused by infection.
