I'm writing about Ayaan because she's considered a fighter for women's rights in the West, but I'm interested in telling readers about how she's regarded in her own country. Are there any Somalis who have read her autobiography, Infidel?

A fighter for women's rights? I dont think so. She has made the life of immigrants in Holland a nightmare . Giving highly wrong and biased information.

I have not read her autobiography and I dont need to read because I know for sure everything that she says are all lies and people like you believe and like her type.

You need to watch a document that was done about who she (her true identity ) and you wont waste your time. But then you are a journalist and what you guys write is what everyone believes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen the Zembla documentary, if that's the one you mean. If she has told lies, I would like to report them, but I have to see the evidence. In her book, she tells many specific stories about things that happened to her in Kenya and the Netherlands. I'm sure that other people who were around at the time would have something different to say. But you would have to read her book to know what is true and what is false.

I have seen enough of her debates on TV to know that every single word that comes out of her mouth is 100% lies. I happy to read that book and point out all the lies but then that will be almost the entire book.

It is ok for women to stand up for what is their rights and speak up. But when it is lies and using religion that she has basic understanding about is unacceptable. But then she is getting all the publicity, security and money that lies will bring huh?

When you say she tells a lot of lies, do you mean the opinions she expresses about Islam are not correct? Or do you know of specific things she has said about her own life or others that are not true, such as "My father forced me to marry'' or "my clan would have killed me if they knew where I was" or "my mother beat me" or "my sister had an abortion."
I know many people disagree with her opinions, but what I want to know is whether she has told the truth about the facts of her life.

I am based in Amsterdam. I am also interested in why you say Ayaan has made the life of immigrants here more difficult.

I am not sure if watched the righ documentary.I dont the title but Somalis in Holand who know her took a journalist to Kenya where her family currently lives. She is from a middle class family (In kenya) and what she said about herself is all lies.

You need to get hold of someone whos her personally to get the facts.

She portays Somalis & Islam in a negative. It is ok to have opinions about issues but when your entire life story is based on lies to tarnish an entire community and religion the we have a problem.

I still want to know why you choose this woman. There alot of Somali woman who have gone through some really tough times as refugees and are sucessfull at the moment without lying on TV and selling themselves and making money based on lies!

I chose her because she has become world famous. In the West, many people believe that's because she's telling truths that Muslims don't want to hear. In the Muslim world, lots of people believe just the opposite - that's she's become famous because she's telling Westerners lies they want to hear. I'm trying to figure out who is right - or what sort of mix is right - and my guess is that Somalis will be better able to judge all than anyone else, because they know where she is and isn't coming from.

The reason why I said that is because I read an article that she is claiming immigrants must be forced to be intergrate and it pointless have immigrants because they wont change and all that bullshit.

Moving from your own country and settling in another is not an easy thing and psychologists will tell you this and to have someone who is an immigrant herself turning against them is sad. She is suppose to be the voice of all this people and speak up for them and all the issues / problems they go through on a daily basis is my opinion!!!!

I am not in Amsterdam and I dont follow what she does or says but we do have her on TV (in london) and from what I see she is very shalow and biased in what she says whatever the debate.

She is not telling any truth about muslims instead she has identified an opportunity to capitalise as the west is terrified of muslims!!

She is a smart woman who is out to make money for herself at the cost of immigrants and Islam and the sooner you recognise that the better. I personally dont consider her as a role model or see anything that she is achieving for Somalis. To us she is a disgrace and a lier!!
