men & cooking?

I have a maid that comes in 3 times a weeks and does the cleaning.

I know this guy...
he is the oldest out of eight children and he is about 22 and walaahi he does so many housework, taking care of the kids when the moms is gone/sick, he runs to the baby when she is crying. He treats the kids with good rewards when they get good grades, be good in school, etc. He is the best brother/son a mother/sibling could ever have. Plus, I know all of these girls oo ka daba naageeya (they all like him) He is a good student in college, makes money, and still manages to go out with his boys and girlfriend

I wonder how he does all of that!

And he can cook really good.

i live on my own since the age of 16. so i know the basic things but i m not great cook....

and i hate cooking so i dont go near the kitchen i spend all my money take-away

Leila,

You are right, cooking and cleaning are good "work" skills if you wanna work as a chef or a janitor but not "life" skills for men, there is a difference. And I am not someone who will find himself in the jungle unprepared, besides, what is the reason of marrying a Xalimo if I am going to be the one wearing the apron?

Xalimo means Kitchen

This tradition of men folding their arms and sitting around while their wives break their backs is un-Islamic, the Prophet (saw) used to help his wives with the housework and always took care of his own needs e.g. he used to sow his own clothes, wash them, etc.

Your wife is not your servant and the fact that women do housework is a choice, you can never divorce your wife because she refused to do housework, because it is not one of the requirements of Nikaah, it is actually a favor she's doing for her family.

Yeah I know. Like my other ex, he called me one day I answered and he started talking about how beautiful I was and my lecious lips. I was like woah this gotta stop. He thinks with his ding'a'long like all men. But this one is a special friend. I even help pick the best girls 8)

I agree but then what if one day xalimo is not there i.e gone on holiday, in hospital and or something like that what happens? and you also have kids maybe? Would you buy all your food? it is both expensive and you soon get tired.

Personally I am a good cook and a fast one as well so I wont even waste my time to let a farax cook for me. But I think it is for your own sake that you learn important skills like cooking, cleaning and tyding up!!!
