i think the reason she hates being somali is cuz her ppl dont really achieve much..
i dont blame her either, sometimes i tell people am jus black as in afro-carribian.
i kno thats bad, but where am from somalis are seen 2b the lowest race, so in reality am just tryna fit in!

I know that Somalis have a horrible reputation in the UK, however, please don't claim you're from another country. Distancing yourself from Somalis, will not make people like you or accept you. Its easy being Somali when your country is prospering and achieving successs in the West , but when you stick by your people through these difficult times, is what makes you a true Somali.
Volunteer, help the Somali kids in your neighbourhood so that they don't join a gang, chew khat or drink alcohol. Hold your head up high and don't let other people's perceptions of you question your identity. You must set an example for younger Somalis.
