no, i come from an educated family of doctors and and business entrepreneurs, my imediate family members were never involved in somali politics, you'd have to go back 2-3 generations (or 2nd or 3rd cousins) to find our ties with any government and/or politics in general. my dad for example, served his country and retired as a high ranking officer in the somali army, so was his dad, and my uncles, but they all moved on, started businesses and became profesionals,...i was sure to follow their footsteps and serve my country until the sh!t hit the roof. don't get it twisted, :}
