Re: THE IDEAL MUSLIM HUSBAND
* He does not overreact and become angry for trivial reason [many ignorant husbands do, creating chaos if their wives offer them food that they don't like, or if their meal is late, or any other reason which usually causes an unnecessary amount of anger, arguments and trouble between spouses].
* He has a deep and compassionate understanding of his wife's nature and psychology.
*He recognizes what she likes, what she desires, her moods, and tries to reconcile between them and the ideal life and behavior he wants for her. f
*He understands his wife and respects her feelings
*He does not criticize her family or any of her relations to her. (She shouldn't do this as well, of course)
*He does not disclose any secrets that she entrusted him with.
*He helps her make up for her failings and weaknesses
What a perfect list..Gedo........i hope you will do that : )
Helwaa,
Those men don't exist in the real world; the only place they exist are in women's fantasies.
Koronto91,
They exist but they are 'boring' & 'predictable' . :-) Too many can't appreciate them until they go through drama in life.
Similar to a guy who always feels he's missing something w/ a good wife and is tempted w/ those thong-visible-in-public wearing chicks.
Xaliimo: "This guy comes home every single day from work. He treats me good all the time & it's getting on my nerves. He kisses me ALL the time. I'm like "Get a Liiife".
Xaliimo 2: "Naa heedhe, your man is too boring"

Spookie,
Yeah but girls before 25 think their Ish don't stink & if a suitable guy shows interests she thinks she's holding out for some guy more glamorous.
You should cash in while your stock is hot.

The thought that some Somali chicks who go above the taboo age of 25 just settle with the first farax that proposes marriage.
If ugliness could be put into the perfect image, it would be a fat Somali dude with an ever-receding bidaar and perverted squinted eyes.

Re: THE IDEAL MUSLIM HUSBAND
For those that saying these men 'dont exist' or throwing any negative comments towards these qualities.. think carefully. All of these are the beauties of the best man and husband, Muhammad ibn Abdullah (saw). He possessed all these qualities. Shouldnt every believing man strive to be like him, to be the best? Did he not advice his companions and the god-fearing men to do such things?
This relationship with his wives are truely beautiful, something both parties can benefit from. Aisha (ra) and Muhammad are most admired. May Allah (swt) make us like that!

Re: THE IDEAL MUSLIM HUSBAND
Aameen.
On the authority of Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A man who has sexual relation with his wife, then reveals the secrets between them to other people is one of the most vicious and evil persons in the sight of Allah on the Day of Judgement." [Narrated by Muslim, Hadith no. 1437]

We all know the expectations & requirements placed on husbands, but "Ideal husbands" simply don't exist. They're lacking in one aspect or another. Same way "Ideal wives" don't exist.
