honestly? i can swim, i don't have a problem jumping in the ocean, i'll swim, but i do have a problem floating. if that makes sense at all.

Reer Gedo in general are fantastic swimmers. My Pops is from Luq, and my Moms from Baardheere and they both are unbelievable swimmers and even used to swim from bank to bank when the currents could be very strong. The Jubba river reaches a roar in those areas in most seasons so You have to be a good swimmer to survive. My Aunt I really think she could have been in the olympics and won a medal she was that good, lol.

As for me, I learned when I was very small but I haven't swam in years and I'm not sure if I still could, lol.

The Jubba does have croccadiles ofcourse but they haven't been overly aggressive towards people yet. I think the Jilaal season in the Shabelle where the river dries up a lot and croccadiles sometimes wander off the river bed is where most havoc occurs. In B/Dhere, Luq the areas where the croccadiles are mostly concentrated is well known as people make sure there xoolo don't go anywhere near there but cases do happen. Infact one of my qaraabo got eaten a few years ago while he was getting water, AUN.
