we Need a leader that sets an example, who'd kill his own kid if they stand in the way and give positions regardless of qabiil

I don't think siyad barre should be included in the list of patriotic somali's considering it was he's regime and he's favoritism that started the trend you see today among somali leaders.

Thats nepotism. As much as I hated the dictator, he had sense of patriotism and was evident when he declared the war on Ethiopia. His Prime Minster was Midgaan. He lost the plot after the accident. I think he lost some of his brain cells

I disagree but this topic would be going off-topic, so let's leave it at that.
King Of Awdal
I've mentioned him in every thread now? get outta here with that nonsense!
He was brought up in the discussion, Adden cadde(aun) and shermarke(aun) were both elected and patriotic individuals. Siyad barre(aun) is a mixed bag, there was some good and some bad.
Besides, considering he's regime's effect on somalia, it's always relevant to bring him up to a discussion concerning somalia's future and I will continue to do so. I have no personal issues with him, If I did I'd be insulting him instead of criticizing he's regime constructively.
.
On the topic, Somalia has gotten to a point where even patriotic individuals will be looked at suspiciously because of who they are and where they are from. There is an instinct in all people to be suspicious of all somali's because of the past where those in power abused it.
If drastic change is gonna happen in somalia, it will not be an individual who will bring about it but a group of like minded people from different regions with a common agenda and goal. The TFG is kind of like that albeit unpopular.
