"Most" Somalis are united in their support behind Obama even Somalis who live in Europe and elsewhere whom the U.S elections doesn't concern them root for him. My questions are what qualities does Obama have? Can he fundamentally change American Institutions? Why can't Somalis get behind a Somali leader for the sake of Somali peace and the future of their children like they root for Obama? Do Somalis lack leaders like Obama or Somali leaders in Somalia lack constituents like Obama's due to the high rate of illiteracy in Somalia?
I truly DO NOT believe Obama can help American relation with the rest of the world. Maybe in two terms BUT the chances r this guy isn't going to make it that long. If he does then it'll be the day he goes against everything he was fighing for and becomes another puppet.
There r no leaders in Somalia for ppl to rally behind, just power hungry War Lords who will stop at nothing. Ur right Suufi, people kill people but Qabiil system has dictated and over rulled everything else in Somalia since the beginning of time. It just has reached the boilling point, this had to happen to clear the way for a better start I guess.

American sufi we do appreciate your passion but for me, the most important thing as a somali citizen is--my qabil has to be the president, otherwise i am prepared for somalia to be in anarchy forever! :)
