Lets just say Somalis in UK need a life time change. They are in the bottom of everything there!

At least that is not the case in America, After Americans, when it comes to immigrants or Africans Somalis will come first in America.

If you go to Somali stores or Restuarants --you will see Mexicans, blacks and even whites working for Somalis. They clean, wash, remove snow, cook.
Blacks and Indians ask us, where did you get the money, Do you guys pay taxes, does the government buy you cars? stuff like that!
In Minnesota schools and collleges, The majority of immigrants or black students are Somalis.

But what I'm hearing in UK is that, Somalis come behind Jamaicans and Hatians! damn!

Somalis are somalis no matter where they are. I have the feeling that majority of somalis are doing the same if they are in america, europe, africa, australia, asia.

Maybe it is a little bit different because you have to work harder for your money in america, but I dont think the difference is big between somalis in uk and america.

The problem is these other people got there BEFORE the somalis and most of them do not come from a war torn country like Somalia. I don't know about the Nigerians but big up to Ghana !

nigerians and ghanans are doing well. somalis are the africans with the worst reputation in the uk.

Look here , when somebody leaves his country to go to Europe in order to better himself , that person mindset is already focused on a certain path.
Somalis are different . Stop crying and saying everybody else is better than us , and do your part madafakas!!
No1/ Understand that the UK is now YOUR country , there is no going back to Somalia like what the older generation is craving for .
No2/ Uuh.. by the time you carry through No 1 , everything else will fall into place . LOL

sihaamgalbeed we're talking about older generations not all somalis. and younger generation of somalis are classed into two. group 1, studying or working. group2, gangster wannabes and doing nothing. with the older generation even if they have shops or jobs they still are claiming benefits so they are still listed as unemployed.

you kinda right, somalis are much better off in America, we also have set examples for other Muslim groups living in this country because we are a conservative community lol...

So exactly do somalis in the US do different from other groups of immigrants that make them successfull?

And how do you measure SUCCESS. Surely driving a huge car that is on loan from a company is not success is it?

nothing different, somalis face the same difficulties

but somalis in america seem to be doing better than the ones in europe

Have you ever been to Europe to make that comparison and judgement or is just something you think. what statistics do you have to back that statement?

Also how successfull are somalis in the US? thats what I need to know?

yep, london is much different than say, i dunno where i live

there aint as many somalis, so there really aint any gangs

and i didnt hear much about somali gangs in tdot or ottawa or windsor like we always do about london
