Let's start with the basics, OK? Obama made the crucial judgement not to support the Iraq war when every one was for it....it took courage to do so. Secondly, Obama is the only candidate who's willing to sit and talk with Iran, Cuba and N. Korea without precondition and warmongering. And thirdly, he's the the only candidate who can unite the two party system on issues, unlike Hilary who's hated on all sides of politics republicans and democrats. Sorry that doesn't fit in well with your desires, but Obama is the only candidate I can vote for in this 2008 election campaign.

let me add; the situation in Somalia is fluid right now, and no candidate would want to prejudge it....but I'm certain Obama would likely have better understanding than Hillary or McCain when the time comes

You are "hoping" not getting a true sense of his position on a piece of legislation.

The bill addresses the situation in Ethiopia especially the human rights and political situation there.

Somalia is not in that bill.

So are you for that Bill or against it ?

But if he is hawkish towards somalia and supports a military presence that enables the current government and any succesive gvmns to stad on their feet and secure law and order..I am all for it.

i dont know ithink he was even raised as a Muslim, his books say that he was raised to respect all world religions and his father was an atheist while his paternal grandparents are muslims....

his step-father was a muslim from indonesia

what are you yapping about? The bill you are talking about seems only you know of and its the only criticism you have so far against Obama. Would you tell us then what its about, so we can debate it? Who are the sponsors of the bill, and what kind of support does it have on both houses?
