As someone rightly said, guests are a blessing, and SubhanAllah if only you knew the reward of just treating them with kindness, you would invite them round everyday.
One sister said that some of her guests overheard her talking about her guests, All i can say is fear Allah, sis you have backbitten them and you shouldnt even say Uff. For there are two angels beside you writing your every utterance. Our beloved Prophet (saw) advised us to speak good or remain silent.
And as for your mother not speaking to them, this will cause more evil between them as they now will backbite and slander one another. Surely you love your mother and fear for her Ahkira?

Guests that bring gossip and back chatting to your house is a blessing? Never been, i should have the right to kick them out

Yes but 'PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE', its best kept to yourself, unless you wnt to increase in your dambi, while the easily pile up your good deeds. Unless you have enough to share!

Im sure, if people start back chatting about others in your present, you get daambi for listening. In order to stop yourself from getting the daambi, you've got to tell them to 'shut up' *nicely ofcourse*, or to leave the room, But how on earth are you going to leave a room which belongs to you.
I say give them a warning, if they reject/ignore it, than kick them out!!

its frustrating when guests stay for awhile and take your room
but gotta be humble......lord knows our parents and them did it back home too and had to share...

U KNOW WOT I HATE ABOUT GUESTS THE MOST
WHEN THEY ARE FEMALES AND THEY DONT WANT GUYS 2 BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS THEM
SO I HAVE TO WALK AROUND MY HOUSE LIKE IM THE GUEST
SO THAT THEY DONT SEE ME
