When it comes to obama, let's just say the polls have been wrong plenty of times. He was suppose to win new hampshire by a landslide according to polls, remember that, he was suppose to only loose ohio by single digits, he lost by 10 points. What whites says to polsters and what they actually do once in the voting booth are two different things.


Nothing short of death will stop Mccain in the general elections.

McCain is terrible candidate and an awful campaigner. He's synonymous with the Iraq war and all the failed policies of the Bush administration; the shredded economy and the health care issues. I would imagine once Obama is the Democratic candidate, the focus would be on McCain and his 20yrs record in the Senate as enabler and supporter of the Bush policies. People vote with their pocket books; Gas is up, the housing market is screwed and Bush and his Republican buddies chose to bail out Bear Stearns. I can't imagine America voting for McCain as third term Bush.

Carter promised no more than defensive supplies. He had absolutely no reason to trust MSB and the American position has always supported the OAU in oposing moving the colonial boundaries. MSB had kicked the US out of the country in 1969, taken a pro-Russian stance in the cold war, and operated as a dictator.The way that war was fought was stupid beyond belief, and relying on American military support is utterly incredible.

Don't Blame Carter for 1977.
