It is important to teach kids deen first and by the time they get to a stage where they are being thrown this stuff they already know what is haraam and can take positive from any form of learning and ignore what is against deen.

Secondly parents need to watch and support their kids and be prepared to explain things when they start asking questions.

Also when kids grow up in an environment that is surrounded by so much about sex then it is the responsibility of parents to have a good relationship with their kids and protect them as much as they can!

We learned some at dugsi. Sheik was talkin about how it was nijaas, and that u needed to take a shower and that wuduu only won't cleanse u. Also talked about how it was haraam (when not married), and that these diseases Aids and stuff are tribulations sent from Allah for people making adultery and fornication the norm.

It should be thought from a religious stand point, there is no shyness when it comes to diin.

sex is extremely disgusting at the age.......I probably wouldve vommited everytime they mention it.

I think good parenting is the key to sex education..esp. the mothers..

I am sure most of you girls have been tought by your mothers..so lets keep it that way for the moment and focus on creating SCHOOLS for somali kids in Somalia first.

As for boys..well their older bros, cousins and friends..and yes even a cool dad could teach them few words of wisdom.

so they know how to
protect themselfs
and what to do etc -.-

and between most kids already know
most of things because they see it
in the media .. their teachers tells
them about it and etc!

yes teach them sex education

but NO not at 4,5 or 6 yrs that might have a bad affect on them, and they dont need to know at that age coz boys still thing girls are disgusting (vice versa)

teach them just before they need to know around 10 or 11

The answer is obviously NO! BTW health education (puberty, etc) n sex education r similar. And health education is a must! But look at wat happened in America where its taught.......Now they are handin out condoms to 12 yr olds...Let's just say accordin 2 a report that came out last month 1 in 4 teens has a STD!! Thats all I have 2 say.
