I didn't even know the lady's qabiil .. I supported her because she is a somali with talent and ambition and yes I support Fatima the model as well..
I can see you are vindictive type of person who hates to see any somali have ambition or succeed at anything..is it because you are a failure yourself and you wish to drag every somali down to your level that smacks of self hate and low self esteem

You call this art? lol walaal this type of music doesnt enlighten or inspire...its inferior. I think you hit the nail right on the head when you mentioned the word 'commercial'..its all about money, many of these artists have no discernable talent..all those deafening music and sound effects and re-editing done in the digital studios etc..will hide the flaws in their singing.

Its not that we are xaasid, wax wacan ayaan somaalida la rabba other than making low quality corrupting music. I am against the dumbing down of music. If this sister wants to do what shes doing..let her! Noone is holding a gun to her temples and telling her 'no you cant do this' but im not going to respect her for this..all i can do is tolerate her and hope and pray we see more ambitious Somalis in all the respectable fields like science, medicine, social, community,environmental work etc etc.

Dont support Somalis in their materialistic urge to make money and have fame and call that 'ambition' rather support those Somalis who stick to their principles and dont just follow the crowd...as an Australian friend told me 'people will respect you more if you stick to your principles..rather than disobeying the rules.'

I'll be honest, I didn't like the song. I don't like all these young Somali entertainers following the mainstream. But you know what? Its not my life or a family member's life, so I could care less.
