European Somalis much more active in Somali affairs..

Somalis in North America can't even speak their own language how do you expect them to more active in Somali affairs? The majority want to forget about Somalia, sadly. The only patriotic Somalis I know are Somalilanders.

It's because they're:
- Closer to Africa, proximity wise, and are thus more likely to go on family trips back home.
- Are less integrated into the society of their host country and, as a result, more interested in their own culture.

Why are all you guys taking this the wrong way, when i said more active in Somali affairs, what i mean in is politically, finanicially and aid..

There is nothing wrong with being active in your country's affairs as long as is not clan reasons..

Alchemist Somali affair is all tribalist and waste of time. I see no benefit for Somali youth to waste their time and energy on trabilist affairs that their parents and foreparents have wasted their time on.

Like John Mayer Song said.."Waiting on the World to Change" So the Somali Youth are waiting untill everyone over the age of 30 gets extinct 8)

Thats true wallahi, when i went back to Somaliland 80% of the people from abroad are from Europe, and the rest are from the middle east, all the business is owned by people from Europe, all the buildings are owned by somalis from europe.... you even see new areas called Garmalka(Germany), LOndon Village(Reer London area)etc

But if it comes to Politics, im gonna be honest the somalis from America are way ahead of Us, The Source is Somalinet!!!

The Young somalis from North America, are pro Politicians Compared to the Young somalis in the UK or Europe!!!

From what i seen and the somalis i spoken too.. When it comes to visiting back home, investing in business and politics somalis in Europe are way ahead of Somalis in North America..

Even the new MPs in TFG. i think out of 14, 7 or 8 are from the UK lol

Just compare the Youths from UK to the ones here in my city Toronto...

The more educated people you have the more people will find investing back home. Somalis in North America are fairly new and most young educated somalis are either recently out of university and they are currently finishing up their degrees. Europe has older more established somali communities with large numbers of educated people. I believe the somalis in North America will make the difference in Somalia in the near future.

Most of the Somali communities in Europe specially in UK are originally from somaliland and they have a country to build and go back but in north America special the US, most of the Somali community are Daroods who are stateless or call it homeless . Seriously, where would they go back and built with the exception of Puntland.
