FAH there are brothers and sisters out there who suffer from low self esteem and actually go LOOKING for nonsomalis!! I dont have a problem with those who keep their net wide open and unexpectedly fall in love with nonsomalis...but to go out of your way and look for nonsomalis and only date / hang around them..means thes epeople have serious issues...and no doubt their kids will become more confused than them...even the ones who go for converts are guilty of this..they think converts have better Imaan and are as a result better Muslims..subhanallah i cant stand this nonsense ...the obsession with converts is mind bewildering!

Yes, it's the media. The media (Hollywood movies, TV, commercials, magazines, etc) advertise and sell gaalos as the best quality product. The reality is, gaalos are just about average, like other people. Most gaalo women aren't even naturally beautiful as they use beautifying products, cosmetic surgery, etc to enhance their appeal. There are some people whom it's almost impossible for the media to influence them; I'm one of them. Never did a commercial influence me to buy the product it was advertising. I don't find cosmetically-enhanced gaalos appealing.

Somalis love other races. I've noticed how the Ethiopians, Arabs and Kenyans stick to their people. Somalis are adventurous people. They are diverse people, they want to see other races. We are all over the place you know?

I actually think it's the opposite. Somalis have so much pride to be with other races, u will catch them saying uuf jareertas. I think it's the enviroment and it leads people to it. In somalia and kenya, ppl look down on the them simply because they aren't somali but in the western country it's actually acceptable and its the thing to do.

I believe it depends on the persons upbringing and where they live. N u neva know who u r attracted to.
