btw, British International School is like a franchise in the private education sector. There are BIS and also American International Schools all over the globe and they're recognised by colleges and universities all over the world if they stick to the 'franchise' rules.

Somalis have a lunacy for Gaalo language. Some of them think, if you dont speack and write the europian language; you are not educated. Some of them dont understand, education in the world started from where Muslims live today. The Midle east and North Africa.
So, when some people say, British taught Somalis how to read and write is absurd. People in centuries before the Gaalo came to our land, used to read and write the Quran. So how can one say british taught us? may be English; but is that knowledge or a way of communication? In Somali 70s and 80s all the students were educated in Somalia, and they were much informed then these kids that I see today in Europe and America. How many Americans/british whom English is their first language are there, but who can solve the basic math (simple addition) problem, or even sometimes cant write sentence academically?

I hope we can distinguish the language and education level.

in fact Arabs are very intellegent people. one of the most educated people in the world. thats why somalis from middle east are way too smart. and nayways arabs invented lotta things like time/clock, battle field armour. it was Nabi Daud who first started to use matel for other things like swords, halmets and so on. he was no arab (i dont think so) but was from middle east. most of the educatin was from middle east.
but the west knows how to minupilate people's minds, making them think that they invented every thing. they get credit for what they dont deserve.
