So far I haven't heard one good reason why they would be better than the uneducated women. Lets say she gets a degree, get married, have walac and stay at home forever and get fat. Remeber western education is all about how much income you can earn with. it is not gonna make your way to Jannah Easier or your health better. So if she will end up in the kitchen and make her husband's life miserable with the so called education, isn't it better just to let her live in her old raaliyo nimo ways? Why would she go to school for 4yrs just to end up in where she started and that is the kitchen.

Doqon, An educated woman understands the true relationship and what it takes to raise a family. Your children are mostly likely to be raised and educated properly. Children learn from the presence of their parents, especially their mother. So on top of supplementing the family income and the proper bringing up of your children, there is high possibility of charting out a financial plan that takes into serious account your family asset and how to overcome all the trivial expenses that ruin the bond of a great family.

An Educated women will hold you accountable and make you work harder for the future. She will most likely have zero tolerance for Khat, idiocy, and convential beliefs that have kept our women in a subordinate roles.

but thats wrong though. not all women get pregnent and end up staying at home. i know many girls that get married, have children and still work. at the end of the day hanad education is good. it takes you from the ignorant world you lived in, an educated women knows what her rights are and wont let people walk all over her. and i know many men/boys that disagrees with women being educated but think they worried that the women knows from right, to wrong. so i would say to all the somali women, educate yourself as much and hard as you can.

i agree with you on that point.

but it's an asset if she earns money with it...and many somali women do that.

and you're also right, many of them don't apply their education.

sxb I can agree with you on anything else you said but telling me that a women would supplement income does not happen in our society. I said that already they believe in a phylosophy called " Ma candho iyo lacag ayaan iskugu darayaah". what part of the phrase don't you understand. our awoowo's believed strongly that If she "has a pot, break it on the door before she enters your house". I can assure you that if she pays the phone bill month month after you feed her for 30hrs, that one time bill payment won't be forgoten. Every woman's that call and every visitor that comes to your house would know that she spent some money on you that Month. Even if some old folks from her qabiil comes for qaraan, they will exactly know that she has no money because the " husband had no money to pay the bills that month".
