Yeah, I do cook with yogurt. You mean the Greek yogurt, right? I've made chicken with soaked with yogurt & other spices & you leave it to chill, and then put it in a preheated oven. Is that how you do?

Firefly yeah..i marinate meat that way..with lemon garlic and spices..

but the biryani you dont need to marinate the chicken/hilib at all. It takes all the flavours from the special biryani spices but you have to fry it with the onions for quite some time till it becomes very brown.

I had indian food yesterday, first time I tried something called 'Fish Pakora" it's a
Catfish marinated with yogurt, lemon juice and battered deep fried, YUMMY!!

thats sounds soo tasty Htologist..i know how to make the usual pakora with spinach, potatoes onions .

Firefly ..do you have the recipe for laxoox? ..i asked fah..and he said put eggs and milk my mum showed me once and she certainly didnt make it with any of that

What's laxoox sis? Do you mean malawax? Where do I get the biryani spices? The yogurt gives it that added flavor. I always make rice with chopped hilib & add yogurt too it. It tastes scrumptious.

firefly- laxoox is what we would call canjeelo. It sounds like a piece of wood though.

the biryani spices can be found in the supermarkets or asian stores. I could give you the recipe roughly now..but i dont want to confuse you..so ill give you the approximate quantities of onions//tomatoes/chicken/rice later on inshaAllah
