Mugabe is being attacked by the west and this is the only way to do it.

Opposition leaders are all propped up by the west so they can get their loot back. I don't agree with all of Mugabe's tactics but is a reaction to Western policies towards Mugabe. There is too much at stake here. Those white boys have gotta to go. Zimbabwe must become independent for good.

Mugabe and the ZANU-PF are using the threat of colonialism as a means to secure power, this is a trick as old as politics itself. As a Somali supporter of the resistance you of all people should understand this.

Ethiopia invaded Somalia for a number of reasons, but the main ones were domination of Somalia and depriving Eritrea of a potential ally, securing the oil reserves of the central Haud plateau, and installing a puppet regime in Somalia. The STATED reason however was terrorism.

ZANU-PF is attacking the opposition for a number of reasons. Their party members have grown rich off illegal and shady dealings, and they would be arrested or exiled if the justice ministry was ever depoliticized. Mugabe himself has had his private bank accounts frozen after the white farmers were driven from their land and he is an international pariah, so he has nowhere to go if he is deposed, and ZANU-PF thugs don't know how to do anything other than be thugs, they is no place for them in democratic Zimbabwe. Just as Ethiopia cannot SAY that they are invading Somalia for petty and selfish reasons, they say they are invading because of terrorism, ZANU-PF cannot say they are destroying the opposition for petty and selfish reasons, they say they are fighting colonialism.

You know, useful economic activity! When one brings unproductive land into productive capacity for the first time, this land becomes your property. Disrespect for private property, and a love affair with Socialism, is the reason Africa remains the dank, poverty ridden place that it is. There will be no feasting for Zimbabweans when they have such a disrespect for the basic building blocks of the free market.

What is at stake here? Human Rights? Mugabe tramples on people's rights along skin colour and tribal lines. Land rights? Mugabe has destroyed what respect there was for private property! There is a precedent now for arbitrary and forced expulsion from one's property for no good reason. Black Economic Empowerment? You only have to look at the disaster that is South Africa's economy to see that this is a red herring for government dictating who businesses can and cannot hire; Socialism by any other name still smells as rank. There is nothing at stake here except popularity games pandering to the lowest common denominator; poor blacks who want to literally squat on stolen land with rifle in hand.

How does a white guy come and take the land and then its his. get the hell out of here with that, their ancestors turned it into huge plantations for their benefits which they forced Africans to farm and work on. All the work was done by African workers, the white guy just barked orders.

The only thing Zimbabwe is missing is a market since all the whites went and cried to the governments of their countries to shut down the market on Zimbabwe.
