Ilaahay Naxariistii Janno haka waraabiyo Jaalle Maxamed Siyaad Barre.
He did many good things for Somalia but also made grave mistakes and some of those mistakes are the reason why Somalia is no longer on the map of the world.
One thing I know for sure is that he was more nationalist, more patriot, smarter than the so-called liverless Tigree Fabricated Goons leader Afbjiijo.

God bless Siad Barre. We had dignity and pride then, look at us now, we turned into something vile that even a Tigre dares to piss in our mosques with no remorse

Sir Lugooyo;
There is no doubt that Siyad Barre did many good things for Somalia, but let us admit brother that he made some major mistakes especially in the mid/late 1980s. My own father believes that Siyad Barre was the greatest leader Somalia ever had but as I am doing here, I always have difficult times convincing people that because of his mistakes, we are in this mess and shame.

Guhad, From an Ogaden, you can't say anything about Siyad Barre. He tried his best to liberate Ogadenia and almost succeeded, not to mention the fact that you were part of the famous MOD alliance

Guhad,
The only mistake Siad Barre (AU) did was, not killing Beer Doofaar instead of putting him in jail. Had he killed Beer Doofaar, Somalia today would've had a different fate than being a toilet for Tigre.

MJPride;
Siyad Barre was an Ogadenian and he had no choice but to fight for the land where he came from. It wasn't that he was doing a favor for a clan, he was just trying to liberate his own land including Shilaabo where he was born.
Sir Lugooyo;
Many mistakes were made saaxiib and I can tell you few of them:
1. Back in late 1980s, a combined alliance including MJs, MR, Mareexaan and other Daarood clans where fully armed by Siyad Barre to crash Habar Gidir especially Sacad. There were cases where the national army was used for these unjust causes. I heard lots of atricoties committed and you rarely see the so-called Siyad Barre supporters mention these.
2. Why do you want to have Morgan, Gaani, Jees and every single leader in the Waqooyi to be Daarood. What happened to the natives of the land? What happened to all the Ila-Qowdhan generals? I beleive that injustices and the destructions of Waqooyi Galbeed had direct effects of the current Somali turmoil. I don't need the prozac-dependent Voltage to tell me that Gedo once had a reer Waqooyi governor. Every single source of income and juice in the north were run by Daarood military officials. Why? I heard most of them were MJs.

As far as we are concerned we are far better off today then when he was there .
The principal reason being , we feel like we are in charge of our own destiny .

Guhad,
I am not glamourising Siad Barre and I know he had his short comings. Like every human being, he committed mistakes, but waxaa la yidhi Gaalka dil gartiisana sii, Siad Barre left a country intact in every sense of the word.
