Somalia and Eritrea do not share a border. There has never been a conflict of any sort between them. During its struggle to gain independence from colonial Ethiopia, Eritrea got material and moral support from Somalia. There's a history of conflicts between Somalia and Ethiopia, dating back to several centuries. The conflicts were/are of the nature of religion (Muslims vs Christians).

Furthermore, Al-Shabaab isn't in accord with the ICU's presence in Eritrea or getting help from it. Al-Shabaab believe in self-reliance and counting on Muslims for support, assistance, etc. Al-Shabaab emphasize action to free Somalia from occupation, not useless talks or negotiations.

yes true but somalia fought against amxaar. in 1978 and the tigray were also fighting against amxaar back then. so you could argue that both eritrea and modern day ethopia never fought against a united somali goverment. but the president of eritrea and the president of ethiopia fought agianst mingistu hiale maryam.

so the ICU and the TFG are both using different clans of ethopia who had nothing to do with the ogadeen war for help.

P.S i dont support any of them

BABYGIRL123,

You thought wrong sis. Firstly, Ethiopia is not just a Christian state; in fact there are more Muslims in Ethiopia then Christians. Secondly, I don't hear the cry for "jihaad" anywhere in Somalia but Mogadishu and its surrounding area, things area come in Bosaso, in Harigesa, in Galkayo and so on and so fourth. The trouble area's, however, are Aways and Co. home turf...their the ones leading Somalia in to "Jihad" against Ethiopia not to free the "Ogaden" or to benefit any other Muslims, rather this is a "Jihad" intended to fulfill their own personal agenda. Some in fact would go as far as saying the Islamic card that this group seems to be playing was thrown into the mix when it was clear to those in Aways's circle the Impagati peace conference held in Kenya wasn't going as they had hoped.

"Muslims vs. Christian Ethiopia & The Christian West"

This is not the case, Ethiopia is in Somalia to aid the TFG, a weak government that was form in a peace conference held in Kenya, in which by the way, those in Away's circle lost to Abdullahi Yusuf. It is this lost and the support Ethiopia is giving to Abdullahi Yusuf's government which led this group to declare a "fake Jihad," this is nothing close to being a fight between Somali Muslims and Ethiopia...to me it sounds more like a fight between those in Away's circle/Christian Eretria vs. Ethiopia. As far as the "Christian West" is concerned though, the fact is they suspected Somalia of being a terrorist (Wahaabi) haven and their suspicion was confirmed when Indha-Adde declared an ill advised "Jihad" on a sovereign nation: hence, both Ethiopia and the West were neutral then, it was only after this fact that they both tripled their support for the TFG.

No where in the world is the West bombing a Muslim nation except for Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia, Why? Because all three endured the worst form of dictatorship and Islamic Shari'a, which some fake bearded Sheikh abused beyond description. Is the west wrong for taking action in such cases...heck no! The west speaks for any oppressed person anywhere in the world...take you, aren't you in the west? Why? Was it because you wanted to be left alone in peace, wasn't it? Then I rest my case.

I have no problems with the ICU whose leader is Sheikh Daahir Aweys.

But my support goes to Alshabaab because they are the only group who behead munaafiq soldiers.Do they(traitors)not deserve such severe punishment?
