unfortunately that's not the way the world works. you're what you're father is genes are meaningless. Is you're father somali or mother?

Only Somali people would have that kind of backward mentality. I am half my father, half my mother and no amount bulshid "ur what ur father is" talk is gonna change the fact that genetically I cary both their genes. And to be frank, I've never lived in either of my parents home land for more than 3 years.
But I hold both of them to be very dear to my heart. I have both flags and I represent it all the time.
And to answer ur question, my mother is Somali.

Father's ethnic backround is more dominant than your mother's background.

Everywhere in the world people think like that not only Somalis. Even in Europe where people carry their father's last name for example instead of their mothers.

The only people that don't use this mentality are perhaps Jews, which consider the mother more important.

Do you have Ethiopian passport or Qatari (GCC national)?

As Arabs don't like to give foreigners citizenship.

Just because some retarted male chevonaist centuries ago decided that the male gene is stronger doesnt hold true now sugar. From where I see it, if I had to chose which one is closer to me....I would say my mothers' side...not because of what country shes' in but simply for the fact that I have grown up with my mothers of the family and hence grew to learn more about somali culture through them. But I dont think my fathers' side is any less important. IMO its a choice you make weather to involved or not. You can tell me till the cows come home that Im only fathers' ethnic backgroud but it wont change a thing in my books.

Is Qatar the same as the UAE as when you marry a fellow Emarati that you get many benefits such as a free villa and a car?

i dont know uae policy.
but in qatar if you're law income you're given a house and children money.
not a villa though. 2 floor houses.
the houses badow were given and their areas you wouldn't want to live there or raise kids.
it's too getto.
