Hun there is no such thing as "secular or moderate muslim", these are terms created by the western media to indicate a Muslim who is either pro-western in his/her politics or is being self-critical in his/ her discourse.

The taliban had some extreme interpretations of shariah, but they did do somethings right.

I would say a majority of somali's and muslims in the west are secular muslims by their actions even if they won't refer to themselves as such. Secular being someone who doesn't completely follow the etiquette of true muslim or even make an effort and only takes bits and pieces of what they like.

I noticed even those who do pray have no respect for each other and no respect for others muslim or otherwise, have no problem defrauding their adoptive country. For some prayer has become nothing more than a ritual devoid of meaning. They just do it because they have to.
