When you see people actually gaining weight during ramadhan then you know there is a problem.

Somalida do not know the meaning of Ramadan at all. Walahi, I've seen dad soo kacaya 4:00 AM, one hour before Salaatu fajr to get a portion of food that is DOUBLE!! for example, something called "SOOR" which I think is heavy stuff. Now, tell me what kind of Ramadan is that? don't these people know feeling hungry during fasts can get you more hasanaat? Aniga when I'm feeling hungry somehow connects me to what's important to me and helps me understand what it is like for people in the world who do not have enough to eat or drink at all. Somalis are naturally hypocrite. I know lots of Somalis who pray or fast to arouse other people's attention; some pray just the month of Ramadan

no one comes home for iftar before maghrip.
people i know they pray maghrip in the mosque and come for iftaar.
i love my rice and laban.lol
i dont like dufan things.

i love about ramadan because of relatives and friends gethering the most.

My mom feeds like every family member in Columbus gurigeena la imaan plus all our family friends, its like a gathering place. plus she feeds these orphans raajo ah some old ladies an ciid laheeyn meaning gabdho so its dhiib.

ES sis i love ramadhan. everything about is great. the actual fasting, the food, making many different exciting food for about 10 people, if not more. we even make food to these two old somali ladies that each live by themselves, and take the food to them everyday, just before afur. i also love the family getting together. going to the mosque everynight for tarawiih.
over all, the whole ramadhan buzz, is great walahi.

i think it s called dufan in every where in somalia ,but what i said was i havent heard that word for long time..

sometimes i break it with shaax and timir and some water.

but most of the times i cant control myself and start with the sambuuse and malawax, suqaar, bur and fill up like in 5 minutes and then pray salah
