Shilling, thanks for the Synopsis-much appreciated-but why cant a simple Majority vote of hands make the case clear, why punches? I think violence is really ingrained in somali genetics, but then again there the same people who were killing each other for 15 years-latest round in Kista-u know what im talking about.Shilling wrote:PH.D.,
Nothing crappy about this debate, it was a passionate heated debate that just so happened to have went too far. But as I heard the people fighting are Somali MPs, mostly warlords. The issue is about a vote for whether or not neighboring states to Somalia (Kenya, Ethiopia, and Djibouti) be part of the peace keeping African forces that was to be sent to Somalia. Some MPs (pro-Ethiopians) supported in favor and other MPs rejected it. The vote was rejected, and this fight followed.

Coming back to my earlier point-when u divide the issue into tribal dynamics-its bores down to Hawiye and Mj-the rest are spectators-The Hawiye delegation does not want any peace keepers-remember they fought the UN presence in 92'-and MJ delegation want peace keepers-cause they know they cant stay safely in Mogadishu-its so simple really, unless ur stupid.
