it depends on which kismayo we're talking about.

in all honesty, the kismayo we know and love is the "MJ kismayo" - and the one we hate the most = the "marehan kismayo." the romantisised image of kismayo that's in our minds - somalis, not me per se - is the "MJ kismayo". historically, kismayo, at its best, supported the inlands of jubba/southern-somalia; it's where its true importance lies. and we all know which clan has dominated the export/import business in the area. though MX have tried to follow/emulate the MJ, they've not being as successful.

however, that's all in the past. today, kismayo belongs to reer wamo and the MX who live there peacefully.

btw, so you know folks, snoop = shared voltage/sadeboi nick. albeit with intentionnaly - so to confuse - dump-downed grammar.

Star kid, walligeyba kulama arkin, and this is the first topic I actually noticed your name or read your posts, but child Sadeboi does not need another name to say anything I can say everything I want with this name.

Qansa, I don't like to just write anything to anyone, and I see no point in participating in mere topics such as this one. Voltage is on vacation and does not even go on somalinet a lot.

sadeboi, reasonable explanation. what do you think about the situation in kismaayo? good for marexaan or bad for us?

Qansa, I don't think the question should be do you think the situation is good for us or not, but rather, why are we in this situation. And that is a question I am willing to answer, and have an answer too, in another time and not the time being for reasons beyond the understanding of some of the beesha SADE members oo ku shaqeeyo "hadalka dhib iyo qiimo ma leh ee iska deh." Ma ii fahamtey???

Somali-star, apology excepted, and sorry for the words I referred to you by in my other post!

in that case, never mind bro. your question sort of answers my question and really discussing why what happened happened the way it did won't solve anything or make me feel comfortable about the situation. our only job right now is fix it and fix it immediately.

Because I haven't had time to participate extensively but even if I did I have an easy answer for you.

The fact of the matter is I am sick and tired of this recurrent Kismaayo thing, clan politics, this constant anarchic situation in Somalia, Al Shabaab, Ethiopia bombings, and just basically the lack of government and the EXISTENCE of Somali state.

I am sick and tired of it especially Kismaayo and Mareexaan themselves.

We captured Kismaayo indefinitely, destroyed all threats...then what happened?

Retards turned on themselves as happened BEFORE.

Everytime Morgan was defeated...ever couple of months Mareexaans would turn on themselves.

Barre vs. Jamac Adan Dhere

Barre vs. Cabdi Cigaal

Reer Hebel vs. Reer Fulaan

The way I see it...Kismaayo is peaceful now, some people masquerading themselves as religious people are in control, Mareexaan civilians are not under threat, they live as citizens like everyone else, continue on with their businesses and lives like everyone else and if now the place is attacked are not obligated to arm even their 5 year olds to defend a public piece of land that will come under the control of a central government sooner or later.

Why should I drum the beats of war when there is no oppression and the only outcome will be Mareexaans turning on themselves again later on???

View Mareexaan as a mini example of the GENERAL Somali people.

-Hate themselves when they are alone to share power.

-Sit and behave themselves and live stress-free lives when under the control of a higher, unoppressive system as all Somalis became in the west under foreign governments.

Thats my 2 cents!

What you say is true and I agree but there is in what you wrote the underlying assumption that everything will be okay for beesha in the long term only because the current situation is a good one. If things would be as you described above, do you honestly believe I would have problem with these so called Al Shabaab militants taking over Kismaayo? Of course I would not because I would support a religious authority in the city before anyone else. We know from recent history that without MR military presence in the city, dil and gumaad for beesha will be the order of the day in Kismaayo and we also know that it is easier to prevent problems than to fix them so saaxib I can't, in all honesty, be comfortable with the current situation in Kismaayo. I would be more comfortable if even a single leader among this so called Shabaab group was marexaan but unfortunately, there isn't any at the moment.
