Anyways my mother told how back in the day when Siyad Barre was in control, he locked up many Somali men who had gone to Muslim countries to learn the deen and my mother was saying how she was so intrigued about what knowledge these men had come back with.
Unfortunately Siyad Barre got angry and starting locking them all so everyone when back to sufi worshipping unless you was like my mother alhamdulilah tabarakAllahu who knew deep down inside sufism was bid'ah
