False assumption.

The Somali civil war as in fact the most brutal civil war. Just because they didn't videotape the torture like some Ugandan film stars doesn't make them any more noble.

Like others said, Somalis were some of the most vile war criminals against each other during the civil war. They raped children, elderly women, and in some strange cases - I heard USC militia raped Shanshi MEN in Xamar and Marka!

No joke, Somalia's civil war is the worst in modern history for more reasons than loss of government, it was a filthyyy scenario. The pictures of starving children and bones scattered across plains is some of the most gut-wrenching footage of any civil war. Liberia & Rwanda are like child's play compared to the shit that happened behind closed doors in Somalia.

First of all, the raxanwein are farmers and do not own livestock, especially camels. The only people from that region who own camels are those in Gedo and Bakool and not Bay. Secondly fleeing civilians who themselves were surving victims of torture and planned massacres were not in a position to loot anyone let alone the raxanwein of Bay who preyed on them while they were trying to escape with their lives from the USC militias that captured Mogdishu and killed, maimed, raped many of their family members and relatives. Xussien Caydid with a USC militia consisting mainly of xawaadle and habargedir occupying Baydhabo when the raxanwein suffered these huge loses and his men were responsible not only for all the killing and raping but also for burning down their farms and food deposits. They were kicked out in 2000 by Shaatiguduud with the help of an ethiopian force and weapons.
