I know there are some religious people here, and before I start I'd like to mention I'm not asking about moral objections to drug use, I'm wondering how religious people feel about drug use and its influence on the brain. You don't have to be religious, actually, but that's mainly who I'm asking. But I'm sure people in general can relate to what I'm asking, except the people who openly admit and accept it.
Since time immemorial, people have lived and coped without those altering pills. Those pills became widely available since the past few decades. It is possible that some or most of those pills could be recalled for one or another reason. Personally, I'm against those pills. For one, its circulation has a commercial aspect. The company that produces a pill such as Zoloft reaps $billions in profit. The pill unnaturally (chemically) and forcefully alters/affects the brain. I'm in favor of religious or alternative methods of treatments. Treatments that have successfully worked for the generations before us.

Being bipolar or hyperactive is associated with growing up or living in a fast paced environment and industrialized country such as America. I have never heard of people who have such psychological ailments in Somalia or Somaliland. Bear in mind, I have also suggested alternative methods of treatments.

I don't think a pill can fix depression. The pill might alter the brain, but it doesn't fix what the person is depressed about. This sort of pill sounds like someone drinking alcohol to forget a problem; but the problem isn't fixed nor does it go away.

the whole idea of taking pills is to fix the problem, otherwise what is the use of taking pills, when you are sick
