In some parts of Somalia and Ogadenia, girls aren't supposed to drink tea. The taboo is that bahalka gets softer if they drink too much tea...

Same here in our family... gabdhaha shaah ma cabaan raggana qaxwo ma cabi karaan... well they can drink but all the elders will throw in some insults..

I don't about bahalka, but I heard they shouldn't drink for some reason I forgot at the moment, lakiin I think the elders and men made that up purposely so there would be less people to drink tea, with the scarcity of tea back then!
But now everyone drinks it!! Its not a taboo anymore!
