The only way out

You can still have a Somali Union, just different states.
A divided Somalia will enable Ethiopia to exploit and play the clan-card against each other. Seriously, is this the best option you can come of? I thought you were better than this. You disappoint me colonel

Ethiopia will never be out of the picture when the West supports it to death.

Face it, Somalis made their bed and they gotta sleep in it.

2. Republic of Somaliland

Now why would you add Somaliland? Does Somaliland looks like its in dear need of maamul? Do you see amxaar looting and raping in Hargeysa, Burco or gabiley? Do you see a disunity amongs its law abiding citezens or have you got use to the mahyem in Somalia that your eyes only see death and distruction.

That's the tale we tell our-selves to justify our sadistic situation. This narrative is not only defunct and highly ignorant, it is comical. Ethiopia is not the West's darling. To the West, Ethiopia is an ally of convenience and that is important to keep in mind. Once Somalia settles down and the situation improves, landlocked and strategically defunct Ethiopia will lose its relevance to the West. That is only natural. It offers the West nothing and is not the Israel of Africa. Ethiopia has only Aids-stricken and hordes of starving people to contribute to the World. Let's remember that not bestow upon that gutter nation titles that it can't wear.

Who knows if we had tried, this arrangement may have worked. It looks more promising than the clan based structure of TFG.

But looks very unattainable with uncle sam on the helm, and currently we are currently in a bad shape.

Before we start to think about the Somali union much work has to be done before including.
support our brothers in south somalis and the ogaden.

If we eliminate the threat of Xabashi anything will be possible.

Actually, this is not too different then the plan Meles Zenawi has for Somalia. Enjoy this:
1) A two-state solution for Somalia along the pre-independence colonial boundaries. The committee suggested the Ethiopian government play a lead role in advocating for the international recognition of the breakaway republic of Somaliland.

2 ) Southern Somalia (former Italian Somaliland) to be divided into four federal regions in line with ethnic based Ethiopian federal system, namely, Puntland, Hawiyeland, Jubbaland and Rahanweinland.

3) The Somali region of Ethiopia to be "isolated" from the rest of Somalia, and limit to the extent possible commercial and traffic links between the Somali region and Somalia.

Afars are interested in joining Greater Somalia. They are more interested than Somali Djiboutians in fact.

The Oromos on the other hand, are rapidly becoming Habeshized. They are on the same boat today as the Tigrays or Amharas.

the oromization of southern habeshas has started a few years ago.
Oromos are for 2options

1. Greater Oromia to create Gadaa Republic of Ethiopia (includes Gondar and Raya= because oromos ruled gondar many centuries ago and Raya and wollo still dominate )

or

2. Kushitic Gadaa Republic of Oromia Ethiopia (KGROE) (Ethiopia was the original name of Oromos before habash stole it)

Even thought the article you cited as refference was writen by a Tigrinya in lala land but the desire to destroy somalis are shared by most high land habeshas (Amhara & Tigrinya).

And I did say if we eliminate the threat of Xabashi (i.e defeat them millitarily) anything is possible.
